Big Dan’s Site

Yup, it has again been quite a while since I blogged. Things are happening in my life, I just don’t have much time to jot them down anymore nor do I have the time to write about other topics that I (previously) frequently wrote about. I’ve already given up two blogs; vBulletinAdmin.com and AlmostGeek.com which I may at a later date use again but I gave them up just because I didn’t have the time to promote and make them a success. I launched an other forum for music fans, but haven’t had any time to work on nor promote it.

I have enough trouble keeping up with my DJ Forum which with vBulletin’s constant updates it keeps me pretty busy not to mention my customers that I support; some with hosting some with vBulletin support, others with Wordpress, myBB, and/or phpBB. I’ve already gave up two of my most challenging customers, moved them to another service, now they’re somebody else’s headache. I don’t say that to be mean, I just don’t have the time I used to have to constantly hold their hands through every little thing.

All in all this blog makes me very little money, most of what I’ve made through here has been from people emailing me for support, etc. Adsense is useless nowadays, .01 cents per click what a joke other networks require too much effort through affiliate pimping and the likes, not exactly my thing. Asides from that very little comment wise, I mean I do get comments at places where my blog is syndicated other than that very little. I almost want to just park this domain and be done with it.

However, I’ve enjoyed blogging, prior to me deleting the previous blog that was here I had some good comments and met a lot of nice people. If anything it’s made me a little bit better of a writer, I’m still no where near the pros, however I’ve gotten better.

For now, I’m going to leave this site up posting occasionally maybe once I get a job (I got fired from the other one, long story), things settle down, and I get into a routine things will be better.

Again it’s been a while since I last posted..I’m still getting used to a new schedule and cannot get online that much as I don’t have a router so I can use my laptop, it’s one computer between 5 people here.

At any rate, I finally got a job, started last weekend at the nursing home I was talking about. It’s an okay job nothing great but at least it will pay the bills. For now, I’m doing doubles on Saturday and Sunday and maybe a day during the week if they need someone to fill in. The doubles weekends means I’m up and out of the house for 5 AM and don’t get home till around 8 PM.   I’m mostly washing dishes and setting up tables stuff like that but I should start on cooking this upcoming weekend.

Other than that things are going pretty good, the hole in my leg opened up again so when I get paid I”m going to try and make it to the clinic, I know all they’re going to do is tell me to stay off it and put a boot on it again but I cannot stay off it, I gotta work.

There’s my little update for today hopefully I’ll be able to spend some more time online shortly and actually participate at some of the sites I’m negelecting.
