Big Dan’s Site

Yup, I’ve been in Florida just about 3 months and things just haven’t worked out. I got a job then lost it a week later. Nothing else really on the job front. Mom’s now back in New York by herself as my sister has moved out so she’s lonely and I’d rather be home than here. The ulcer on my leg is opened up again so I have to get back to the doctor and have a boot put on.

Add to it the BS that goes on around here, I’m better off home. Originally I was going home for the last two weeks of August for Mom’s birthday then coming back after Labor Day. However I decided it’s probably not worth the effort, living and trying to find a job that I can squeeze into everyone elses schedule down here that is.

I’m going to go back home to NY, get my leg healed up again and then do some job searching..That’s the plan for now. My train ticket is already booked for August 11th, I’ll be in NY on the 12th, cannot wait! This week I’m going to pack up and start shipping boxes home. Hopefully when I get home I’ll be able to get back on track with my websites. I just bought a couple of domains for some upcoming projects and I plan on revitalizing a couple of old projects.. We’ll wait and see what develops.

This morning I have a Christening to attend and I haven’t slept all night.. Oh Joy.

This 4th of July wasn’t that much different than any other but it was nice to have a little party for it.  My friend did a pig roast, more like he smoked the pig but it was pretty cool and tasted delicious. Here’s a picture of porky hanging out.

His mother put out a spread of eggplant parm, sausage and peppers, baked ziti, etc. I was so tired from running around and stuff the night before that I came home and went to sleep before they even served dinner.. I got a plate later though it was good!

Saturday was a small birthday party for my friends birthday, I didn’t go to that..Still recouperating from Thursday night into Friday.

Sunday was the Christening for my friend’s oldest son, I didn’t go to that either. I was still tired plus I really didn’t have anything to put in a card for him.

On thing that’s nice about Florida is fireworks aren’t illegal, back home in New York they are of course me living on the Pennsylvania border it’s easy to get them but you still can get a ticket.

Anywho it was a nice weekend, I was glad to relax for one.
