Yesterday, I spent the morning and afternoon packing boxes to ship off to Florida. Mostly just clothes and a few smaller things, other than clothes all I really packed was my PlayStation 2 and Game Cube. I wound up with 6 boxes; 5 average size and one small one. The cost to ship these? $157! 
and it was nothing special just regular mail, I about fell over! Consider this; I’m shipping myself over night to Florida for less than that. What the heck, considering I weigh a lot more, will take up more space than the boxes, will get a climate controlled environment, and will get there a heck of a lot faster than the boxes on the train; I must be ripping Amtrak off…or was the post office ripping me off? Even if you include the supplementary train fare I need to get to Penn station, mailing boxes still costs more!
I was pleasantly surprised to find about 12 brand new shirts still in plastic wrap, I also found a new pair of shorts, cargo sweats, jeans, and a brand new leather belt that’s in addition to about 5 almost brand new shirts that I took out of the package and just hung up.
In some ways, I’m kinda weired with my clothes, I’ll wear the same 3 or 4 pairs of pants and 5 or 6 shirts until they’re either so stained, worn out, or ripped that they get moved exercise status, those are the clothes I walk and do yard work in, after that they get retired to pajama status, I rarely if ever throw out clothes.
At any rate, my boxes are on the way to Florida and I’ll be on my way Monday. I cannot wait!!!
